Refund Policy

In plain language

  • Tokens: 14-day full refund on unused Tokens (Israeli consumer protection). Used Tokens are non-refundable.
  • Subscriptions: cancel any time. Refunds for unused full months on request within 14 days of payment.
  • Super Chat / Tips: non-refundable once sent to a creator โ€” it's a gift.
  • Failed AI jobs: Tokens automatically refunded.
  • If you were charged in error or the Service was broken, email billing@sinaicinema.com โ€” we'll make it right.

This Refund Policy applies to paid features on sinaicinema.com (the "Service"), operated by SINAI Productions, an Israeli sole proprietorship owned by Liran Dandekar ("SINAI", "we"). It supplements the Terms of Service.

SINAI is registered in Israel. This policy complies with the Israeli Consumer Protection Law 5741-1981 (ื—ื•ืง ื”ื’ื ืช ื”ืฆืจื›ืŸ) and its Distance Selling regulations. Where you have stronger rights under your local law (EU Consumer Rights Directive, UK CCRs, US state law), those apply.

1. Tokens (pre-paid credit)

SINAI Tokens are pre-paid credit used to run AI jobs (video generation, image generation, advanced QA features) and to send Super Chat / Tips to creators. They are a closed-loop platform credit โ€” they are not cash, not a security, and not redeemable for cash from SINAI by viewers.

Unused Tokens: refundable in full within 14 days of purchase under ยง14ื’ of the Israeli Consumer Protection Law 5741-1981 and the Consumer Protection (Cancellation of Transactions) Regulations 5771-2010 ยง6, with no cancellation fee. The 14 days run from the moment Tokens are credited to your account. Refund returns to the original payment method, typically within 5โ€“10 business days after Stripe processing.

Partially used Token packs: we refund the value of unused Tokens (at the per-Token price of the pack you bought) within 14 days. Used Tokens are non-refundable.

After 14 days: Tokens become non-refundable. They remain in your account and don't expire as long as your account is active.

If your account is terminated by SINAI: unused Tokens are forfeit ONLY when termination is for a hard-limit Content Policy violation (CSAM, real graphic violence, fraud). For any other termination โ€” including ordinary Content Policy disputes or technical violations โ€” we refund the cash value of unused Tokens within 30 days. If we terminate without cause, we refund regardless of the 14-day window.

2. Subscriptions

SINAI offers monthly and annual creator subscriptions (Creator, Pro, Studio tiers).

Cancel any time: cancellation stops the next billing cycle. You keep access to the tier's features until the end of the current paid period.

Within 14 days of payment: full refund of the current period's charge on request, even if you used some of the included Tokens. We deduct only the cash value of Tokens you spent on AI jobs.

Annual subscriptions: prorated refund of the unused portion is available on request within 14 days of the annual renewal. After that, the annual term runs out without further refund.

Auto-renewal: subscriptions renew automatically unless you cancel. We email a reminder at least 30 days before annual renewals, as required by ยง13ื“ of the Israeli Consumer Protection Law 5741-1981. You can cancel any subscription from your billing settings โ€” no need to call or email.

Termination & unused Tokens: if SINAI terminates your account for a hard-limit Content Policy violation (CSAM, real graphic harm, fraud), unused Tokens are forfeit. For any other termination โ€” including disputed policy interpretations or technical violations โ€” SINAI refunds the cash value of unused Tokens (at the per-Token price you paid) within 30 days.

3. Super Chat and Tips (V1)

Super Chat and Tips are denominated in Tokens. When you send Tokens to a creator, you are spending pre-paid credit to support them โ€” economically the same as a gift.

Non-refundable once sent. We cannot reverse a Token transfer to a creator โ€” they have already received it.

Exception โ€” fraud or unauthorized use: if someone gained unauthorized access to your account and sent Super Chat / Tips without your consent, we will investigate and may reverse the transfer where possible. Report to billing@sinaicinema.com within 24 hours of noticing.

Mistaken amount: if you sent the wrong amount, contact the creator directly first. They can return Tokens to you if they choose; SINAI doesn't force a return.

4. Failed or broken AI jobs

When you run an AI job (video generation, image render, advanced QA), Tokens are deducted up front. If the job fails for a technical reason on our side, you get the Tokens back automatically. Specifically:

If a refund didn't come through automatically within 24 hours of a failed job, email billing@sinaicinema.com with the job ID โ€” we'll fix it manually.

5. Chargebacks

If you don't recognize a charge or believe one is wrong, email billing@sinaicinema.com first โ€” we usually resolve it within a day. Filing a chargeback through your bank or card issuer without contacting us costs SINAI a fixed fee and triggers an automatic account hold while the chargeback is processed.

Repeated chargebacks (more than 2 in 12 months, where the underlying charge was valid) may result in account suspension and a block on future payment methods.

6. How to request a refund

  1. Email billing@sinaicinema.com from the email address on your account.
  2. Include: the order ID or invoice number (visible in your account billing page), what you're asking us to refund, and a one-line reason (so we can spot patterns and fix root causes).
  3. We respond within 2 business days. Approved refunds process to your original payment method within 5โ€“10 business days after that (Stripe controls the exact timing).

No phone, no forms, no AI gatekeeper โ€” a real person reads each refund request.

7. Currency and tax

Prices are shown in your local currency where possible (converted by Stripe at the prevailing rate). Refunds are issued in the same currency as the original charge.

VAT / sales tax included in your purchase is refunded together with the principal where applicable. We cannot refund taxes that were already remitted to a tax authority if the refund window has passed at the authority's end (this almost never happens within the 14-day window).

8. Changes

If we change this policy materially (e.g., change refund windows or thresholds), we'll notify you by in-app notification and update the "Last updated" date. Changes apply to purchases made after the effective date โ€” purchases already made keep the policy in force at the time of purchase.
