In plain language
This Cookie Policy explains how SINAI Productions, an Israeli sole proprietorship owned by Liran Dandekar ("SINAI", "we"), uses cookies and similar technologies (local storage, session storage, pixels) on sinaicinema.com (the "Service"). It supplements our Privacy Policy.
Cookies are small text files placed on your device by a website you visit. They let the site remember things about you โ like that you're logged in, what language you chose, or which video you were watching. "Similar technologies" includes browser local storage and session storage, which serve the same purpose but live inside your browser rather than as a file.
Supabase auth (`sb-*`) โ keeps you signed in. Expires after session timeout or sign-out.
Locale preference (`sinai_locale`) โ remembers which of the 36 languages you picked. 1 year.
CSRF token โ protects sign-up, comments, and other form actions from cross-site request forgery. Session only.
Cookie consent (`sinai_cookie_consent`) โ remembers your choice from the cookie banner so we don't ask again. 1 year.
These don't require consent under GDPR / Israeli Privacy Protection Law because the Service can't function without them. You can still block them in your browser, but most of SINAI will stop working if you do.
Vercel Analytics โ privacy-friendly page-view counting. No cross-site tracking, no user-level profiles, IP addresses anonymized at the edge.
Anonymous viewer fingerprint โ for analytics on view completion rate (which films keep viewers watching). Hash, not personally identifying. Retention period is governed by the Privacy Policy (ยง7).
You can opt out via the cookie banner or your account preferences. Opting out doesn't change anything about the Service โ it just means we don't know how you used it.
Cloudflare Stream โ sets cookies on the video player domain to deliver video. Required to play any film.
Stripe โ if you buy Tokens or a subscription, Stripe sets payment-processing and fraud-prevention cookies. Required for checkout to work.
Google OAuth โ if you sign in with Google, Google sets its own cookies in that flow.
These cookies are set by the third party, not us. Their use is governed by their own privacy policies (linked from our Privacy Policy).
You have three ways to control cookies:
Blocking strictly necessary cookies will break parts of the Service (you won't be able to log in, your language won't stick, forms will fail). We can't work around that.
We respect the browser-level Do Not Track signal where applicable: if your browser sends DNT:1, we treat that as a rejection of analytics cookies, the same as clicking "Reject" in the banner.
If we add or change cookies, we update this page and reset the cookie banner so you can review your choice. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent change.
